Minister Han Changfu meets New Zealand Minister of Trade Todd McClay

Minister Han Changfu met Mr. Todd Michael McClay, Minister of Trade of New Zealand, in Beijing on April 15, 2016. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral agricultural cooperation.
Minister Han stated that the bilateral agricultural cooperation, particularly agricultural trade, has witnessed fast growth and benefited the two peoples since the signing of China-New Zealand FTA in 2008. New Zealand, as always, is an important partner of China in the field of agriculture. The two sides enjoy great potential for agricultural cooperation. The Ministry of Agriculture of P. R. China and the Ministry for Primary Industries of New Zealand will sign the Arrangement on Building Partnership in Agriculture, which is expected to further intensify the practical cooperation in agricultural policies, livestock production, horticulture technology, animal and plant health, capacity-building & development of agricultural human resources and agricultural trade, promoting the bilateral agricultural cooperation to a new level.
Todd McClay agreed with Minister Han on his comments and expressed his willingness to promote agricultural cooperation and trade between China and New Zealand.
